That Was Personal: Chimp Launches Bottle At A Girl's Face... Leaves Her Leaking At Zoo!

A girl was injured after being hit in the face with a bottle from an angry chimp who she had been filming at a zoo in China.



Footage shows how the male primate was clearly agitated as he jumped up and down in his enclosure at Nanning Zoo before looking for the bottle and launching the attack.



The girl's mum, who was not named, told how they had been enjoying the trip to the zoo when suddenly her daughter was hit by a bottle of mineral water and injured her eye.



As the girl was recording the chimp, the animal lobbed the bottle which hit her in the eye and caused bleeding but there is no up-to-date information on her condition.



Additionally, the phone screen broke when it fell to the ground after being hit by the bottle, according to local media.



Nanning Zoo told local media they are investigating the case and cannot comment at this stage.



The incident has divided opinion online with some accusing the tourists of driving the ape crazy with their behavior, while others felt that there should be better security in place as the chimp was a danger to visitors.



It is not the first incident recently involving an ape at the zoo throwing objects at visitors.



In a video a woman can be seen standing behind the barrier of an enclosure when a powerful ape started to hurl mud at her as she started to walk past.



While he missed his attempts on her another luckless spectator did get struck by the mud after not ducking in time.



The woman - named Ms Tan in local media - said the ape seemed to follow her around the enclosure no matter where she went.



Eventually, believing she was safe behind the wall, she started filming a selfie with the ape in the background but she had to hide under the wall and almost got hit again when he kept trying to hit her. Posted by JR
