"A Jet Rescue Air Ambulance has crashed in Philadelphia, igniting multiple homes and vehicles, according to preliminary reports. At least six people on board the plane have been killed, and multiple casualties have been reported on the ground.

The plane crashed on Friday at approximately 6:30 p.m. near Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard in northeast Philadelphia, an area that includes Roosevelt Mall and several homes, according to officials and local media.

At least six fatalities have been reported, according to journalist Steve Keeley, who is at the scene. However, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has preliminarily indicated that only two people were aboard the plane. Keeley reported that among the victims were two doctors, two pilots, a patient, and a family member of the patient. CBS Philadelphia has reported several casualties on the ground.

“A Learjet 55 crashed after departing from Northeast Philadelphia Airport. There were two people on board,” the FAA stated. “The plane was en route to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri.” The aircraft is reportedly a Jet Rescue Air Ambulance.

"At least 124 people are dead after a passenger jet crashed upon landing at an airport in South Korea on Sunday morning, authorities said.

Jeju Air Flight 2216 was landing at Muan International Airport around 9 a.m. local time when the plane went off the runway and crashed into a wall.

The updated death toll was provided by the National Fire Agency. The official death toll has steadily climbed in the hours after the crash. There were a total of 175 passengers and six crew members aboard the Boeing 737 aircraft, which had taken off from Bangkok, according to the Korean Ministry of Land Infrastructure and Transport. By Sunday afternoon, South Korean officials said they had confirmed that at least 124 people were dead, according to the National Fire Agency. Fifty-four of the dead were men and 57 were women, the agency said, adding that the remains of 13 were still unidentified.

A man and a woman were rescued from the wreckage and were taken to the hospital, according to the transport ministry. Both were crew members, the fire agency said. Their conditions were not released." - ABC News |

Dozens of floors burned in the China Telecom building in the city of Changsha, the capital of central Hunan province. The cityâ€™s fire department said it sent 280 firefighters who were able to quickly extinguish the blaze on the 720-footbuilding. 

No injuries or deaths have been reported, China Telecom said in a statement. It said there was no disruption to cellphone service, but social media users complained of being unable to use their phones. 

Videos of the blaze showed one side of the building scorched black, with debris falling to the ground. Other videos from local media showed workers inside managing to evacuate the building.
