A 30-year veteran of the Chicago Police Department this week confronted officers in Asheville, North Carolina after they declined to arrest a Donald Trump supporter who punched a 69-year-old woman in the face. Shirley Teter, 69, said that she was protesting outside of Trump’s Monday event at the U.S. Cellular Center when a man punched her in the jaw. Although no arrests were made at the time, police later issued a warrant for Thomas Vellanti Jr. Video released shows the aftermath of the incident of the former Chicago cop scolding younger Asheville policemen for letting Vellanti go.
