Newton Gun Club, named after the co-founder of the Black Panther Party, led a pro-Second Amendment slash “Black Lives Matter” march through Austin toward the Texas Capitol building as the state Senate debated open carry bills. Dressed in all black, standing tall with long rifles in front of the state legislature, they sure did draw the public’s attention.
