A lawsuit alleges the "auto-present" car door handles of the Tesla Model S contributed to the death of a man who died in fiery crash. Omar Awan was driving a leased Tesla in South Florida when he lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree. The complaint, filed by Awan's family, alleges a responding police officer and bystanders were unable to open the car door because its handles were retracted. The Model S has door handles that are flush against the car and pop out when a sensor detects the key fob. Trapped inside the flaming vehicle, Awan died. Posted By Persist
