Singer D4vd, whose real name is David Burke, sat stone-faced in court as his lawyers entered a not guilty plea to first-degree murder. Prosecutors allege the 14-year-old victim, Celeste Rivas, was killed in April 2025 after threatening to expose their sexual relationship because Burke feared it would destroy his music career. Officials say he allegedly murdered her, dismembered her body two weeks later, and stuffed the remains into bags in his car trunk. Her body wasn't found until September, one day after what would have been her 15th birthday. His defense attorney claims the evidence will show Burke "did not murder" her and is pushing for a swift public hearing.
