Via @LisaEvers: Hundreds of Queens parents and kids turned out for a very special event: the 3rd annual Worldstar Foundation Back to School Giveaway. The line was very long but everyone waited patiently for their turn to get free book bags, school supplies, and an autograph from hip hop, TV and film superstar LL Cool J.
For parents it was a help to their back to school budget. The kids received the backpacks and supplies courtesy of online hip hop mogul Lee “Q†O’Denat, founder of Worldstar Hip Hop. Both Q and LL Cool J say this community helped them become the successes that they are, and they’ll never forget where they came from.
