In a case that generated many days of rioting in the streets of Milwaukee last summer a Jury has acquitted another police officer after shooting a black man. The former officer Dominique Heaggan-Brown, who is also African American was found not guilty of first degree reckless homicide. Heaggan-Brown shot 23-year-old Sylville Smith after a brief foot chase following a traffic stop Aug. 13. Smith's death stirred up already simmering tensions among black Milwaukee residents and police, causing massive demonstrations in the streets hours after the shooting happened. Posted By Ghost
