New York Post report: 'Two thugs armed with a bat savagely beat a Boston radio show host in a Bronx vestibule early this morning - striking him on the head eight times before stealing his phone, wallet and gold chain, authorities said. Pelagio de la Cruz, 52 - who hosts a Spanish-language radio talk show on WESX-AM in Chelsea, Mass. - was in town visiting his three kids in University Heights when the two men crept up behind him around 4:30 a.m. as he tried to get into his children's building, cops said.
De la Cruz had been returning from a trip to a nearby restaurant where he'd had a few drinks when the men apparently spotted him as they drove in dark-colored car down Davidson Avenue, sources said."
